Tickhill in South Yorkshire is located south of Doncaster and is one of a couple of pretty, small towns in the area. As a resident, I spend a lot of time walking around the village and enjoying the atmosphere. This painting is one of a series of the town and is taken in the spring when the daffodils and cherry trees were in full bloom. Bride’s Cottage is at the end of a narrow lane and overlooks St. Mary’s Church, which is famous for its four-hourly chimes.
